The Nation of Israel and the Land of Israel: Inseparable

And you shall inherit the Land, and dwell in it; for to you have I given the Land to possess it. And you shall inherit the land by lot according to your families, to the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance; wherever the lot falls to any man, that shall be his; according to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit. (From this week's Torah portion, Mas'ei, Numbers 33:53-54)

When a modern Jew in Israel reads the words, "And you shall inherit the Land" he understands that this is a directive to put the Land of Israel under the sovereignty of the State of Israel. The way we are used to looking at it, actualization of national sovereignty is the responsibility of the nation state. From the verses in this week's Torah portion, however, it looks like that assumption is incorrect. It is the State's responsibility to conquer the Land and to drive out the enemy. But actualization of the bond between the Land and the Nation is not complete until the Land becomes the personal inheritance of every Jew. The Land of Israel belongs to the Nation of Israel; not only on the national level but also on the personal level. "And you shall inherit the Land - by lot, according to your families."

The bond between a Jew and his Land is holy, similar to the bond of marriage. The Torah commands the relative of a person who loses his property to be the first to buy his lot so that his inheritance will remain inside the family. Further, he is directed to re-sell the lot to its original owner at the first opportunity.

Israel's current situation, in which 93% of the Nation's land is in the hands of the State, opposes this Torah directive and the Return to Zion message of world liberty. This is the real reason for the housing crisis and the pervasive feeling of servitude experienced by the Israeli public.

Norway Now Feels Just Like Israel by Barry Chamish

Norway is a totally dysfunctional country. Last year there were almost 2700 rapes there and all the rapists were Muslim. So to get even, the country's 2000 Jews live in a terror state, told not to wear kippas or appear too Jewish outside, for their own safety. And Norway is Israel's number one enemy in the West, the premier organizer of Palestinian statehood today, and the promoters of the ghastly Oslo Accords of the '90s. The disdain of Jews towards Norway was nowhere clearer to be seen as in the reports of its recent terror attacks.
The reports mourned Norway's victims as much as the Norwegians shed tears over the 1500+ dead Israelis since their Oslo Accords took effect.
However, both the Jewish and Christian, as well as otherwise sources are painting a very different picture of terror than the lone gunman, closed trial, approach of the Norwegian authorities. Let us begin:

Named by media as 32-year-old Anders Behring Breivik, the blond, blue-eyed suspect reportedly owns a vegetable farm, and has posted on Christian fundamentalist websites.
The Norwegian man suspected of bombing downtown Oslo and killing over 85 people in a subsequent shooting massacre nearby bought six tons of fertilizer recently, according to a local supplier. A spokesperson for agricultural material supplier Felleskjopet told the Associated Press that the suspect had bought an amount equivalent to 200 50-pound bags over several weeks leading up to Friday’s attacks. Fertilizer can be used in homemade bombs and is highly explosive. Though more isn’t yet known about where or how the bomb was detonated, U.S. intelligence officials told the AP that six tons was too much to fit in one vehicle...Moreover, the notion of a lone bomber/gunman is very suspect, especially one able to kill 91 people, an unprecedented nearly impossible feat singlehandedly. Were there others involved?...A dynamite expert reported that the visual evidence suggests to him that the explosion occurred underground. Particularly, he made this conclusion because the ground was raised. How would a lone nut be allowed access to the underground and be able to plant a device there unnoticed? Is it just a coincidence that “sewer/construction work” has been going on in that precise area in the days prior to this?

A midrange car can't even hold a ton and still move. So where is the rest of the explosive fertilizer? Perhaps it was planted underground set to go off when it wouldn't harm even one employee of the government:
  1. Why would a lone terrorist intending to cause damage to the Labor government target downtown Oslo on a public holiday, when many people would have been absent from their posts?
  2. Is it just a coincidence that police ran a live bombing exercise in Oslo two days before the attacks?
Now let's look at the suspect. We are told he is a fundamentalist Christian. If so, he must be a lone fundamentalist. No other fundamentalist seems to know him:

If he is a "fundamentalist Christian" where did he attend church? Any truly fundamentalist Christian goes to church.

After driving to town and parking his exploding car, how did he drive 20 miles north to Utoya Island? You can say he owned two cars, parked the getaway car far enough away that it wouldn't be caught in the blast, and took a cab home to get the other car. Or, more sensibly, he was driven to Utoya by someone else who had a motorboat there waiting for him. Conversely, when the campers cell-phoned the police for help...well, there's never a cop around when you need him. The cops gave the killer(s) 90 minutes to execute the kids for many reasons; the most hilarious being that their boat sprung a leak.

Authorities said Breivik also owns several firearms and belongs to a gun club; the suspect used pistols and automatic guns to murder at least 80 young people at the island of Utoya.

Doesn't anyone understand Norway's strict gun laws? Nobody can legally acquire an automatic weapon. Hunters don't bag their reindeer with 30 internally exploding bullets a second. Who gave him the mass murder weapon?

Latest data indicates that Breivik killed at least 84 people, mostly teenagers, in his shooting rampage at the Utoya Island where Norway‘s ruling Labor Party held a youth camp.
Breivik, described as a right-wing Christian fundamentalist, was reportedly dressed in a police uniform when he opened fire on the teenagers at the youth camp on the Utoya Island.
The shooting survivors quoted by the VG paper, however, are convinced that there was a second shooter on the island. They claim that they saw another man shooting at them who was not wearing a police uniform, and that they heard firing from two sides.

And who gave him a police uniform, not a costume, a real uniform? Not the police, who never heard of the guy.

While the suspect reportedly has displayed right-wing politics and anti-Muslim views online, authorities said he did not appear to belong to any of the country’s splintered political extremist groups. “He just came out of nowhere,” said a police official . “He hasn’t been on our radar, which he would have been if was active in the neo-Nazi groups in Norway.”

But someone was fixing up his image at the last second. He had a Twitter account set up with no tweets and one literary message, and one idiotic Facebook page:

A Facebook page matching his name and the photo given out by the police was set up just a few days ago. It listed his religion as Christian and his politics as conservative. It said he enjoys hunting, the video games World of Warcraft and Modern Warfare 2, and books including Machiavelli’s “The Prince” and George Orwell’s “1984.”
So, this is the information he wanted you to find. Assuming he set up this page and he is the murderer, these statement could either be precisely true, deliberate misinformation, or something in between.

Now, come on tricksters, give us some credit for rationality. No 32 year old man still plays video games...while hunting and enjoying Machiavelli. This personality page was too violent and political to be real.

Did he have two different Facebook pages, one in Norwegian and one in English, and he only identified himself as a Christian and a conservative on the English one? Or did he pause from his murder spree to add "Christian" and "conservative" to his Facebook profile? Or maybe the whole page is a fake, as has been reported.

But in creating the killer's plausible personality, someone used the oldest trick in the game: The televised Fair Play For Cuba scam. If you really don't know what that is, then everything is lost on you anyway.

He made a video proclaiming himself a Christian Templar charged with fighting Islam:

Now on to the Labor Party Youth Camp. This was not a camp where kids sing songs and roast weenies around the campfire. No sirree. This was a criminally anti-semitic indoctrination and brainwash camp. And guess who showed up just before the attack to wish the kids well and pose under a big, plastic Boycott Israel sign, the unbiased Foreign Minister:

At the same time, Norway supports Palestinian independence, de jure UN membership, and Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store heads an international aid committee for Palestine. Moreover, its parliament earlier passed initiatives critical of Israel, and Finance Minister Kristin Halvorsen (from 2005 - 2009, now Education Minister) proposed boycotting Israeli products...The teenagers who took part in Norway's ruling party youth camp in the island of Utoya met with Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere and demanded he recognize Palestine on Wednesday, two days before the deadly terror attack which left many of them dead.
Gahr Stoere told the youths that the Palestinians deserve a country of their own and that the occupation must end, Norwegian website Politisk reported. Several of the youths waved signs reading: "Boycott Israel."

The next generation of Israel's political enemies were gunned down, execution-style at camp. I'm not saying Israel had a hand in the massacre. I'm saying that for every Norwegian eulogizing his child, for once, try to remember that 1500 Israelis felt the same pain as you since YOU foisted your peace on them.
I find both your suffering intolerable and inhumane.

Israeli Premonition

The Jews are a peculiar people: things permitted to other nations are forbidden to the Jews.
Other nations drive out thousands, even millions of people and there is no refugee problem. Russia did it, Poland and Czechoslovakia did it, Turkey threw out a million Greeks, and Algeria a million Frenchman. Indonesia threw out heaven knows how many Chinese -- and no one says a word about refugees.
But in the case of Israel, the displaced Arabs have become eternal refugees. Everyone insists that Israel must take back every single Arab. Arnold Toynbee calls the displacement of the Arabs an atrocity greater than any committed by the Nazis.
Other nations when victorious on the battlefield dictate peace terms. But when Israel is victorious it must sue for peace. Everyone expects the Jews to be the only real Christians in this world.
Other nations when they are defeated survive and recover, but should Israel be defeated it would be destroyed. Had Nasser triumphed last June he would have wiped Israel off the map, and no one would have lifted a finger to save the Jews.
No commitment to the Jews by any government, including our own, is worth the paper it is written on. There is a cry of outrage all over the world when people die in Vietnam or when two Negroes are executed in Rhodesia. But when Hitler slaughtered Jews no one remonstrated with him.
The Swedes, who are ready to break off diplomatic relations with America because of what we do in Vietnam, did not let out a peep when Hitler was slaughtering Jews. They sent Hitler choice iron ore, and ball bearings, and serviced his troop trains to Norway.
The Jews are alone in the world. If Israel survives, it will be solely because of Jewish efforts. And Jewish resources.
Yet at this moment Israel is our only reliable and unconditional ally. We can rely more on Israel than Israel can rely on us. And one has only to imagine what would have happened last summer had the Arabs and their Russian backers won the war, to realize how vital the survival of Israel is to America and the West in general.
I have a premonition that will not leave me; as it goes with Israel so will it go with all of us. Should Israel perish the holocaust will be upon us.

Germany Destroyed Papers About Wanted Nazi Brunner

Germany Destroyed Papers About Wanted Nazi Brunner

Germany’s foreign intelligence agency, the BND, shredded more than 500 pages of documents related to wanted Nazi fugitive Alois Brunner in the 1990s, fueling speculation that he worked for the BND after the war and was being protected by senior German officials, Der Spiegel reported.
A deputy to Eichmann, Brunner assisted in implementing the Final Solution and is held directly responsible for the deaths of at least 130,000 Jews. He is believed to have spent some 40 years hiding in Syria and was later rumored to have fled to South America.
Brunner was wounded twice by letter bombs sent to him – reportedly by the Mossad – during the 40 years he spent in Syria. In 1961 he reportedly lost his left eye in an explosion and in 1980 he lost three fingers in a similar blast.

He is at the top of the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s list of wanted Nazis, although it is unknown if he is still alive. He would be 99-years-old.

Israel Looking Into Revoking Oslo Accords In Response To Palestinian UN Bid

Israel Looking Into Revoking Oslo Accords In Response To Palestinian UN Bid

A team headed by National Security Adviser Ya’akov Amidror is looking into calling off the Oslo Accords in response to the Palestinian Authority’s unilateral plan to gain United Nations recognition for an independent state.
The Prime Minister’s Bureau confirmed yesterday only that the NSC was discussing many alternatives ahead of September, and would be presenting them to the political echelon for a decision when it was done.

Arabs will not make peace with Israel unless they fear attack.

Defense hardly ever wins peace; the threat of offense
does. Arabs will not make peace with Israel unless they fear
attack. They are comfortable in thinking Israel will not attack
them and have no reason to negotiate, especially when certain
concessions are involved. Arab disinterest in peace means
changes in Israeli military doctrine.

The Americans stole a piece of Mexico.......

The Americans stole a piece of
Mexico but not of Canada because of their cultural affinity with
the latter. They spared Haiti because there was no profit in
controlling and upgrading the alien population, not to mention
damaging their international image. Arabs will agree to Israeli
annexation if they admire her the way Mexicans admired the
United States. Lacking this sense of inferiority, Arabs will resist
encroachment, as the Canadians did.

Israel should drive the Palestinians into Jordan and Lebanon

The seemingly irresolvable situation has, however, a
solution. Israel should drive the Palestinians into Jordan and Lebanon and treat the other Arabs with kind indifference but react with cruelty to any
violation of her interests. Negotiators know an opponent is
much more likely to give way if pressured from the beginning
and then offered a way out.
Machiavelli left a message to future generations. He disdained government force and war; he admired just, wise rulers. He considered murder and deceit
distasteful but natural, but like a good surgeon, he saw the
need to do repulsive and painful things quickly and effectively.
It is better to live and let live, but if you decide on territorial
expansion and war, at least do it knowledgeably. Politics is a cold-blooded game with no place for moralizing and hesitation for the victors. Be coherent and
single-minded; smother the weakness of humanism, and
weaken the enemy by inducing him to act according to moral
rules while you disregard them as fiction, inapplicable in crises.
Israel has yet to accept and adopt the truth of warfare.

A Jewish Country......

Would anyone challenge the right of Caucasians to
fight for their own jurisdiction within California? Many would
not. Ethnically, religiously, and even ideologically diverse
states that fail as melting pots dissolve. Who was there first
and who came later does not matter; much of Israel was not
settled fifty years ago. A coherent and importantly distinct
group living compactly is entitled to sovereignty, or at least it
makes sense to give them sovereignty to keep them from living
in perpetual conflict with their neighbors. What, except anti-
Semitism, denies the same logic to the Jews in the Middle

Jews will come Aaron. They'll come to Israel....

Aliyah...Aaron, Jews will come Aaron. They'll come to Israel for reasons they can't

even fathom. They'll turn up at El Al at Laguardia not knowing for sure why

they're there. They'll enter the plane as innocent as children, longing for HaShem.

Of course, we won't mind if you fly El Al, they'll say. It's only $600 per person.

They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it: for it is money they

have and peace they lack. And they'll arrive at Ben-Gurion, walk out to kiss the

ground; sit in the hangar to hear the PM on a perfect afternoon. They'll find they

have reserved apartments & Ulpan somewhere in the North or South, where they

remembered on Pesach when they were children and dreamed of going home. And

they'll listen to the PM and it'll be as if they dipped themselves in holy waters.

The tears of joy will be so thick they'll have to brush them away from their faces.

Jews will come Aaron. The one constant through all the years, Aaron, has been

HaShem. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased

like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But HaShem has marked the time.

This People, this Eretz Yisrael: it's a part of our past, Aaron. It reminds of us of all

that once was Holy and it could be again. Oh... Jews will come Aaron. Jews will

most definitely come.

The Jewish state’s choices are to either annex Judea and Samaria or be destroyed by its neighbors.

Our World: Israel’s only two options
07/18/2011 21:59

The Jewish state’s choices are to either annex Judea and Samaria or be destroyed by its neighbors.

Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas is in Europe this week seeking to convince the Spanish and Norwegian governments to support the Palestinian bid to sidestep negotiations with Israel and have the UN General Assembly recognize Palestinian sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem in addition to Gaza.

The Palestinians know that without US support, their initiative will fail to gain Security Council support and therefore have no legal weight. But they believe that if they push hard enough, Israel’s control over these areas will eventually unravel and they will gain control over them without ever accepting Israel’s right to exist.

Fatah’s UN gambit, along with its unity deal with Hamas, makes clear that the time has come for Israel to finally face the facts: There are only two realistic options for dealing with Judea and Samaria.

Either the Palestinians will take control of Judea and Samaria, or Israel will annex them.

If the Palestinians take control, they will establish a terror state in the areas, which – like their terror state in Gaza – will use its territory as a starting point for continued war against Israel.

It isn’t only Israel’s experience with post-withdrawal Gaza and South Lebanon that make it clear that a post-withdrawal Palestinian-controlled Judea and Samaria will become a terror state. The Palestinians themselves make no bones about this.

In a Palestinian public opinion survey released last week by The Israel Project, 65 percent of Palestinians said they believe that they should conduct negotiations with Israel. But before we get excited, we need to read the fine print.

According to the survey, those two-thirds of Palestinians believe that talks should not lead to the establishment of the State of Palestine next to Israel and at peace with the Jewish state. They believe the establishment of “Palestine” next to Israel should serve as a means for continuing their war against Israel. The goal of that war is to destroy what’s left of Israel after the “peace” treaty and gobble it into “Palestine.”

That is, 66% of Palestinians believe “peace” talks with Israel should be conducted in bad faith.

Moreover, three-quarters deny Jewish ties to Jerusalem, and 80% support Islamic jihad against Jews as called for in the Hamas charter; 73% support the annihilation of the Jewish people as called for in the Hamas charter on the basis of Islamic scripture.

As bad as Israel’s experience with post-withdrawal Gaza and South Lebanon has been, Israel’s prospects with a post-withdrawal Judea and Samaria will be far worse. It isn’t simply that withdrawal will invite aggression from Judea and Samaria. It will invite foreign Arab armies to invade the rump Jewish state.

Unlike the post-withdrawal situation with Gaza and South Lebanon, without Judea and Samaria, Israel would not have the territorial depth and topographical advantage to defend itself from invasion from the east.

Moreover, the establishment of the second Palestinian terror state after Gaza in Judea and Samaria would embolden some of Israel’s Arab citizens in the Galilee and the Negev as well as in Jaffa, Lod, Haifa and beyond to escalate their already declared irredentist plans to demand autonomy or unification with whatever Palestinian terror state they choose.

Living under the constant threat of invasion from the east (and the south, from a Muslim Brotherhood-controlled Egyptian army moving through the Sinai and Gaza), Israel would likely be deterred from taking concerted action against its treacherous Arab citizens.

As then-prime minister Ariel Sharon warned in 2001, the situation would be analogous to the plight of Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. Just as the Nazis deterred the Czech government from acting against its traitorous German minority in the Sudetenland in the 1930s, so Arab states (and a nuclear Iran), supporting the Palestinian terror states in Judea and Samaria and in Gaza, would make it impossible for Israel to enforce its sovereign rights on its remaining territory.

Israel’s destruction would be all but preordained.

The second option is for Israel to annex Judea and Samaria, complete with its hostile Arab population.

Absorbing the Arab population of Judea and Samaria would increase Israel’s Arab minority from 20% to 33% of the overall population. This is true whether or not Israel grants them full citizenship with voting rights or permanent residency without them.

Obviously such a scenario would present Israel with new and complex legal, social and law enforcement challenges. But it would also provide Israel with substantial advantages and opportunities.

Israel would have to consider its electoral laws and weigh the prospect of moving from a proportional representation system to a direct, district system. It would have to begin enforcing its laws toward its Arab citizens in a manner identical to the way it enforces its laws against its Jewish citizens. This includes everything from administrative laws concerning building to criminal statutes related to treason. It would have to ensure that Arab schoolchildren are no longer indoctrinated to hate Jews, despite the fact that according to the Israel Project survey, 53% of Palestinians support such anti-Semitic indoctrination in the classroom.

These steps would be difficult to enact.

On the other side, annexing Judea and Samaria holds unmistakable advantages for Israel. For instance, Israel would regain complete military control over the areas. Israel ceded much of this control to the PLO in 1996.

The Palestinian armies Israel agreed to allow the PLO to field have played a central role in the Palestinian terror machine. They have also played a key role in indoctrinating Palestinian society to seek and work toward Israel’s destruction. By bringing about the disbanding of these terror forces, Israel would go a long way toward securing its citizens from attack.

Furthermore, by asserting its sovereign rights to its heartland, for the first time since 1967, Israel would be adopting an unambiguous position around which its citizens and supporters could rally. Annexation would also finally free Israel’s politicians and diplomats to tell the truth about the pathological nature of Palestinian nationalism and about the rank hypocrisy and anti-Semitism at the heart of much of the international Left’s campaigns on behalf of the Palestinians.

No, annexation won’t be easy. But then again, the alternative is national suicide.

And again, these are the only options. Either the Palestinians form a terror state from which it will wage war against the shrunken, indefensible Jewish state, or Israel expands the size of the Jewish state.

Since 1967, Israel has refused to accept the fact that these are the only two options available. Instead, successive governments and the nation as a whole have set their hopes on imaginary third options. For the Left, this option has been the fantasy of a two-state solution. This “solution” involves the Palestinians controlling some or all of the lands Israel took over from Jordan and Egypt in the Six Day War, establishing a state, and all of us living happily ever after.

Given the Palestinians’ overwhelming, consistent and violent support for the destruction of Israel in any size, this leftist fantasy never had a leg to stand on.

And since 1993, when the Rabin government adopted the Left’s fantasy as state policy, more than 2,000 Israelis have been killed in its pursuit.

Not only has the Left’s third option fantasy facilitated the Palestinian terror machine’s ability to kill Jews, it has empowered their propaganda war against Israel.

Israel’s pursuit of the nonexistent two-state solution has eroded its own international position to a degree unprecedented in its history.

Last week’s meeting of the so-called Middle East Quartet ended without a final statement. It isn’t that its members couldn’t agree on the need to establish “Palestine” in Judea and Samaria and Jerusalem. That was a no-brainer. The Quartet members couldn’t agree on the need to accept the Jewish state. Russia reportedly rejected wording that would have enjoined the Palestinians to accept the Jewish state’s right to exist as part of a peace treaty.

And this was eminently foreseeable. The unhinged two-state solution makes Israel’s legitimacy contingent on the establishment of a Palestinian state. And it put the burden to establish a Palestinian state on Israel.

Since everyone except Israel and the US always accepted the establishment of a Palestinian state, and no one except Israel and the US always accepted the existence of the Jewish state, by making its own legitimacy dependent on Palestinian statehood, Israel started the clock running on its own demonization.

The longer Israel allows its very right to exist to be contingent on the establishment of another terror state committed to its destruction, the less the nations of the world will feel obliged to accept its right to exist.

As for the Right, its leaders have embraced imaginary third options of their own. Either Jordan would come in and save us, or the Palestinians would come to like us, or something.

The one thing that both the Left’s fantasy option and the Right’s fantasy option share is their belief that the Palestinians or the Arabs as a whole will eventually change. Both sides’ imaginary third options maintain that with sufficient inducements or time, the Arabs will change their behavior and drop their goal of destroying Israel.

Our 44-year dalliance in fantasyland has not simply weakened us militarily and diplomatically. It has torn us apart internally by surrendering the debate to the two ideological fringes of the political spectrum. Actually, to be precise, we have surrendered 99% of our public discourse to the radical Left and 1% to the radical Right.

The Left’s control over the discourse has caused its ideological opposite’s numbers to increasingly disengage from the state. That would be bad enough, but the Palestinians’ inarguable bad faith and continued commitment to Israel’s destruction have driven the far Left far off the cliff of reason and rationality.

Unable to convince their fellow Israelis that their two-state pipe dream will bring peace, the Israeli Left has joined forces with the international Left in its increasingly shrill campaigns to delegitimize the country’s right to exist and undermine its ability to defend itself.

This sorry state of affairs is exemplified today by the radical Left’s hysterical response to the Knesset’s passage last week of the anti-boycott law. The comparatively mild law makes it a civil offense to solicit boycotts against Israel. It bars people engaged in economic warfare against Israel from getting government benefits and makes them liable to punitive damages in civil suits.

The Left’s hysterical public relations campaign to demonize the law and its supporters as fascists and seek its overthrow through the Supreme Court makes clear that the Left will wage war against its own country in pursuit of its delusion.

But aside from driving the public discourse into the depths of ideological madness, Israel’s embrace of fantasy has made it impossible for us to conduct a sober-minded discussion of our only real options. The time has come to debate these two options, choose one, and move forward.

Storm approaching - Caroline B. Glick

Column One: Caution: Storm approaching
By CAROLINE B. GLICK, The Jerusalem Post
July 15, 2011
No doubt millions of Arabs are upset about freedom deficit in Arab
lands. But the fact is that economics has played a decisive role.

It was seven months ago that Mohammed Bouazizi, a vegetable peddler in
Tunisia, set himself and the Arab world on fire. The 26- year-old
staged his suicidal protest on the steps of the local city hall after
a municipal inspector took away his unlicensed vegetable cart, thus
denying him the ability to feed his family of eight.

Most depictions of the Arab revolutions that followed his act have
cast them as struggles for freedom and good government. These
depictions miss the main cause of these political upheavals. No doubt
millions of Arabs are upset about the freedom deficit in Arab lands.
But the fact is that economics has played a decisive role in all of

In Bouazizi’s case, his self-immolation was provoked by financial
desperation. And if current trends continue, the revolutionary ferment
we have seen so far is only the tip of the iceberg.

Moreover, the political whirlwind will not be contained in the Middle East.

Most of the news coming out about Egypt today emanates from Cairo’s
Tahrir Square. There the protesters continue to demand ousted
president Hosni Mubarak’s head on a platter alongside the skulls of
his sons, business associates, advisors and everyone else who
prospered under his rule. While the supposedly liberal democratic
protesters’ swift descent into bloodlust is no doubt worth noting, the
main reason these protesters continue to gain so much international
attention is because they are easy to find. A reporter looking for a
story’s failsafe option is to mosey on over to the square and put a
microphone into the crowd.

But while easily accessible, the action at Tahrir Square is not
Egypt’s most important story. The most important, strategically
consequential story is that Egypt is rapidly going broke. By the end
of the year, the military dictatorship will likely not only default on
Egypt’s loans. Field Marshal Tantawi and his deputies will almost
certainly be unable to feed the Egyptian people.

Some raw statistics are in order here.

Among Egypt’s population of 80 million, some 32 million are
illiterate. They engage in subsistence farming that is too inefficient
to support them. Egypt needs to import half of its food.

As David Goldman, (aka Spengler), reported in Asia Times Online, in
May the International Monetary Fund warned of the impending economic
collapse of non-oil exporting Arab countries saying, “In the current
baseline scenario the external financing needs of the region’s oil
importers is projected to exceed $160 billion during 2011-13.” Goldman
noted, “That’s almost three years’ worth of Egypt’s total annual
imports as of 2010.”

Since Mubarak was overthrown in February, Egypt’s foreign currency
reserves have plummeted from $36b. to $25b.-28b. Last month, Tantawi
rejected an IMF loan offer of $3b., claiming he would not accept any
conditions on the loans. Instead he accepted $4b. in loans from Saudi
Arabia and another $2.34b. from the Gulf states.

And still, Egypt’s foreign currency reserves are being washed away. As
Goldman explained, the problem is capital flight. Due in no small part
to the protesters in Tahrir Square calling for the arrest of all those
who did business with the former regime, Egypt’s wealthy and foreign
investors are taking their money out of the country.

At the Arab Banking Summit in Rome last month, Jordan’s Finance
Minister Mohammed Abu Hammour warned, “There is capital flight and
$500 million a week is leaving the Arab world.”

According to Goldman, “Although Hammour did not mention countries in
his talk... most of the capital flight is coming from Egypt, and at an
annual rate roughly equal to Egypt’s remaining reserves.”

What this means is that in a few short months, Egypt will be unable to
pay for its imports. And consequently, it will be unable to feed its

EGYPT IS far from alone. Take Syria. There, too, capital is fleeing
the country as the government rushes to quell the mass anti-regime

Just as Egyptian and Tunisian protesters hoped that a new regime would
bring them more freedom, so the mass protests sweeping Syria are in
part due to politics. But like in Egypt and Tunisia, Syria’s economic
woes are dictating much of what is happening on the ground and will
continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Last month, Syrian President Bashar Assad gave a speech warning of
“weakness or collapse of the Syrian economy.” As a report last month
by Reuters explained, the immediate impact of Assad’s speech was
capital flight and the devaluation of the Syrian pound by 8 percent.

For the past decade, Assad has been trying to liberalize the Syrian
economy. He enacted some free market reforms, opened a stock exchange
and attempted to draw foreign investment to the country. While largely
unsuccessful in alleviating Syria’s massive poverty, these reforms did
enable the country a modest growth rate of around 2.5% per year.

In response to the mass protests threatening his regime, Assad has
effectively ended his experiment with the free market. He fired his
government minister in charge of the economic reforms and put all the
projects on hold. Instead, according to a report this week in Syria
Today, the government has steeply increased public sector wages and
offered 100,000 temporary workers full-time contracts. The Syrian
government also announced a 25% cut in the price of diesel fuel, at a
cost to the government of $527m. per year.

Boasting foreign currency reserves of $18b., the Syrian regime
announced it would be using these reserves to pay for the increased
governmental outlays. But as Reuters reported, the government has been
forced to spend $70m.- $80m. a week to buck up the local currency. So
between protecting the Syrian pound and paying for political loyalty,
the Assad regime is quickly drying up Syria’s treasury.

In the event the regime is overthrown, a successor regime will face
the sure prospect of economic collapse, much as the Egyptian regime

And in the event that Assad remains in power, he will continue to reap
the economic whirlwind of what he has sown in the form of political
instability and violence.

What this means is that we can expect continued political turmoil in
both countries as they are consumed by debt and tens of millions of
people face the prospect of starvation. This political turmoil can be
expected to give rise to dangerous if unknowable military

Poor Arab nations such as Egypt and Syria are far from the only ones
facing economic disaster.

The $3b. loan the IMF offered Egypt may be among the last loans of
that magnitude the IMF is able to offer because quite simply, European
lenders are themselves staring into the economic abyss.

Greece’s debt crisis is not a local problem. It now appears
increasingly likely that the EU is going to have to accept Greece
defaulting on at least part of its debt. And the ramifications of
Greek default on the European and US banking systems are largely
unknowable. This is the case because as Megan McArdle at The Atlantic
wrote this week, the amount of Greek debt held by European and US
banks is difficult to assess.

WORSE STILL, the banking crisis will only intensify in the wake of a
Greek default. Debt pressure on Italy, Ireland, Spain and Portugal,
which are all also on the brink of defaulting on their debts, will
grow. Italy is Europe’s fourth largest economy. Its debt is about the
size of Germany’s.

If Italy goes into default, the implications for the European and US
banking systems – and for their economies generally – will be

The current debt-ceiling negotiations between US President Barack
Obama and the Republican congressional leadership have made it
apparent that Obama is ideologically committed to increasing
government spending and taxes in the face of a weak economy. If Obama
is reelected next year, the dire implications of four more years of
his economic policies for the US and global economies cannot be

Due to the economic policies implemented by Prime Minister Binyamin
Netanyahu since his first tenure as prime minister in 1996-99, in the
face of this economic disaster, Israel is likely to find itself in the
unlikely position of standing along China and India as among the only
stable, growing economies in the world. Israel’s banking sector is
largely unexposed to European debt. Israel’s gross external debt is
44% of GDP. This compares well not only to European debt levels of
well over 100% of GDP but to the US debt level, which stands at 98% of

Assuming the government does not bend to populist pressure and take
economically hazardous steps like reducing the work week to four days,
Israel’s economy is likely to remain one of the country’s most
valuable strategic assets. Just as economic prosperity allowed Israel
to absorb the cost of the Second Lebanon War with barely a hiccup, so
continued economic growth will play a key role in protecting it from
the economically induced political upheavals likely to ensue
throughout much of the Arab world and Europe.

Aside from remaining economically responsible, as Israel approaches
the coming storms it is important for it to act with utmost caution
politically. It must adopt policies that provide it with the most
maneuver room and the greatest deterrent force.

First and foremost, this means that it is imperative that Israel not
commit itself to any agreements with any Arab regime. In 1977, the
Camp David Agreement with then-Egyptian president Anwar Sadat, in
which Israel surrendered the strategically invaluable Sinai for a
peace treaty, seemed like a reasonable gamble.

In 2011, a similar agreement with Assad or with the Palestinian
Authority, (whose budget is largely financed from international aid),
would be the height of strategic insanity.

Beyond that, with the rising double specter of Egyptian economic
collapse and the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood to power, Israel must
prepare for the prospect of war with Egypt. Recently it was reported
that IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz has opted to
spread over several years Israel’s military preparations for a return
to hostilities with Egypt. Gantz’s decision reportedly is due to his
desire to avoid provoking Egypt with a rapid expansion of the IDF’s
order of battle.

Gantz’s caution is understandable. But it is unacceptable. Given the
escalating threats emanating from Egypt – not the least of which is
the expanding security vacuum in Sinai – Israel must prepare for war

So, too, with the US’s weak economy, Obama’s Muslim
Brotherhood-friendly foreign policy, and Europe’s history of
responding to economic hardship with xenophobia, Israel’s need to
develop the means of militarily defending itself from a cascade of
emerging threats becomes all the more apparent.

The economic storms may pass by Israel. But the political tempests
they unleash will reach us.

To emerge safely from what is coming, Israel needs to hunker down and
prepare for the worst.

If Kahane was wrong...what is the right course?

If Meir Kahane was wrong about the course for Israel.....What is the right course? Inaction is the wrong choice.

I invite any Leftist (or anyone) to tell me what the alternative is that will keep Israel a Jewish Country and satisfy the world and the Muslim/Arabs....

Non Secular Leftist Jews? Any such thing?

What I don't understand and never have, is the Lefts position that they don't believe in any biblical entitlement to Israel, yet they remain in Israel and advocate against her...or do so from the Galut.

If you were a Secular Jew, why on Earth (if you were not a Sabra)  would you care about Israel? It is not their, or their families birthplace. So why would they care? They have become part of the Erev Rav.

The left has to believe that if they become part of the world community that the world will protect them from Arabs? They really have no position other than the arabs are just as entitled to the land as Jews.

Kahane said it from the start...annex the land and evict the enemy. There was and is no other choice since....what has changed in 3500 years?

Michael Ben-Ari is Kahanist and MK....The right need to get behind him and the National Union to lead Israel ......or Feiglin..

Time appears to be running out...but then I thought that years ago!

Dear World, It appears that you are hard to please. I understand that you are upset over us, here in Israel. 1/8/88

Beyond Words
Selected Writings of Rabbi Meir Kahane,
Volume 5

The first part of this article is Dear World being read under a pseudonym name, because of the Israeli and world media ban on Rabbi Kahane whether verbal or written.

"Dear World" was first printed in the Jewish Press on January 8, 1988. Then Rabbi Kahane sent it to various newspapers in the U.S. (opposed to his policies) under a pseudonym, Meyer Ben Abraham.

Among the newspapers it appeared in were the Miami Herald, on January 17,  one of the more viciously anti-Israeli papers around; the B'nai B'rith Messenger on March 4th, the Los Angeles Press-Telegram on January 29th, the Canadian Jewish News on February 18 and Ha'am (UCLA) May, 1988.
According to “Outlook”: Canada’s Progressive Jewish Magazine, June/July 1988, it was read aloud from the Miami Herald at Beth Sholom synagogue in Toronto.
In April 2002, it was widely circulated by e-mail lists on the internet, signed Anonymous.

B'nai B'rith Messenger published a letter to the editor on March 25, 1988 from Cantor Michael Loring, Fresno, that says, “I, and others were very moved--some even to tears by the Open Letter to the World by Anonymous in the March 4 edition...It is possible to help our brethren in Israel to remain alive in a sovereign Jewish state and not feel guilty about doing so. Incidentally, the tone of the “open letter” is reminiscent of a “toned down” Rabbi Kahane. Is he the author, or are you sworn to secrecy?"

B'nai B'rith Messenger, acknowledged his authorship in their April 15, 1988 issue, on their front page:
“A Note to Our Readers.   In the March 4 edition of the Messinger, we published a piece entitled “A Letter to the World.” That letter came to us from two separate sources. In both cases, the letter was signed “Anonymous”. Efforts on our part to locate the actual author were unsuccessful, but we decided to publish it anyway because we felt that it was timely and important. Since its publication, Rabbi Meir Kahane has written us to say that he is the author of that letter. We hope this sets the record straight."

Ha'am carried an apology for not publishing it under the Rabbi's name in Oct, 1988.
The above information appears in “Beyond Words” and research by Libby Kahane.

Now for this classic article written by Rabbi Meir Kahane:

Dear World,

It appears that you are hard to please.  I understand that you are upset over us, here in Israel.  Indeed, it appears that you are quite upset, even angry.  (Outraged?)  Indeed, every few years you seem to become upset by us. Today, it is the "brutal repression of the Palestinians"; yesterday it was Lebanon; before that it was the bombing of the nuclear reactor in Baghdad and the Yom Kippur War and the Sinai campaign. It appears that Jews who triumph and who, therefore, live, upset you most extraordinarily.

Of course, dear world, long before there was an Israel, we - the Jewish people - upset you.
We upset a German people who elected Hitler and upset an Austrian people who cheered his entry into Vienna and we upset a whole slew of Slavic nations - Poles, Slovaks, Lithuanians, Ukrainians, Russians, Hungarians and Romanians. And we go back a long, long way in the history of world "upset." We upset the Cossacks of Chmielnicki who massacred tens of thousands of us in 1648-49; we upset the Crusaders who, on their way to liberate the Holy Land, were so upset at Jews that they slaughtered untold numbers of us. For centuries, we upset a Roman Catholic Church that did its best to define our relationship through inquisitions. And we upset the arch-enemy of the church, Martin Luther, who, in his call to burn the synagogues and the Jews within them, showed an admirable Christian ecumenical spirit.

And it is because we became so upset over upsetting you, dear world, that we decided to leave you - in a manner of speaking - and establish a Jewish state. The reasoning was that living in close contact with you, as resident-strangers in the various countries that comprise you, we upset you, irritate you and disturb you. What better notion, then, than to leave you and thus love you - and have you love us?  And so, we decided to come home - home to the same homeland we were driven out 1,900 years earlier by a Roman world that, apparently, we also upset.

Alas, dear world, it appears that you are hard to please. Having left you and your pogroms and inquisitions and crusades and holocausts, having taken our leave of the general world to live alone in our own little state - we continue to upset you. You are upset that we repress the poor Palestinians. You are deeply angered over the fact that we do not give up the lands of 1967, which are clearly the obstacle to peace in the Middle East.  Moscow is upset and Washington is upset. The "radical" Arabs are upset and the gentle Egyptian moderates are upset.  Europe is upset, as is Asia and, of course, Africa and Down Under and up there.

Well, dear world, consider the reaction of a normal Jew from Israel.

In 1920 and 1921 and 1929, there were no territories of 1967 to impede peace between Jews and Arabs. Indeed, there was no Jewish state to upset anybody. Nevertheless, the same oppressed and repressed Palestinians slaughtered tens of Jews in Jerusalem, Jaffa, Safed and Hebron.  Indeed, 67 Jews were slaughtered one day in Hebron - in 1929.

Dear world, why did the Arabs - the Palestinians - massacre 67 Jews in one day in 1929? Could it have been their anger over Israeli aggression in 1967? And why were 510 Jewish men, women and children slaughtered in Arab riots between 1936-39? Was it because Arabs were upset over 1967?  And when you, world, proposed a UN Partition Plan in 1947 that would have created a "Palestinian state" alongside a tiny Israel and the Arabs cried "no" and went to war and killed 6,000 Jews - was that upset stomach caused by the aggression of 1967? And, by the way, dear world, why did we not hear your cry of "upset" then?

The poor Palestinians who today kill Jews with explosives and firebombs and stones are part of the same people who - when they had all the territories they now demand be given to them for their state -attempted to drive the Jewish state into the sea. The same twisted faces, the same hate, the same cry of "Itbach-al-Yahud" – “Slaughter the Jew!”- that we hear and see today, where seen and heard then. The same people, the same dream - destroy Israel. What they failed to do yesterday, they dream of today, but we should not "repress" them…

Dear world, you stood by during the Holocaust and you stood by in 1948 as seven states launched a war that the Arab League proudly compared to the Mongol massacres. You stood by in 1967 as Nasser, wildly cheered by wild mobs in every Arab capital, vowed to drive the Jews into the sea.  And you would stand by tomorrow if Israel were facing extinction.

And since we know that the Arabs-Palestinians daily dream of that extinction, we will do everything possible to remain alive in our own land. If that bothers you, dear world, well - think of how many times in the past you bothered us.

In any event, dear world, if you are bothered by us, here is one Jew in Israel who could not care less.

Anti-Semitism on Ballot in SF? Galut is ending?

On the ballot 9/18 in San Francisco The first attempt to promote Anti-Semitism in the US will be featured. This will be a sort of  landmark decision.

The debate over circumcising baby boys

New Zealand bans Kosher slaughter

Netherlands to vote on law banning slaughter of meat by halal and kosher methods

These are rituals of the most basic variety for Jews.Hitler did these types of things and the fact that it even made a vote in SF is very telling. The clock is ticking. As the economy worsens the Goy will look to the moneychangers to blame...always have and always will.

Don't kid yourself, you have the ability to research and discover the truth for yourself!
German Jews in 1938 could not.

Your Nation is not My Nation and Your God is not My G-d : By Moshe Feiglin

It was hot on Monday, but I took my jacket along, nevertheless, hanging it on a hook in my car. It was the start of a long day of meetings, the pinnacle of which was to be a reception that Glenn Beck was holding for an exclusive group of people in a Jerusalem apartment, and I wanted to look my official best.

Beck is justifiably considered one of the best public relations people that Israel - and particularly the Israeli Right - has today. When you see an intelligent and articulate American gluing millions of Americans to their seats with the Israeli Right's case, making points that the Right dares not make, you immediately feel great pride and joy.

Glenn Beck is surely a great lover of Israel. He is not an active missionary and is not establishing a dubious charity foundation here. He is a very popular broadcaster; his job is public relations - what could be better than that?

But on Monday afternoon, I heard Glenn Beck speaking before the Immigration Committee in the Knesset. The main point of his message was that we must return to a policy of telling the people the truth. He called upon his listeners to attend an international event that he is organizing in support of Israel, to be held at the foot of the Southern Wall of the Temple Mount. Toward the end of his speech, Beck quoted the Scroll of Ruth:

"I invite you to join us," said Beck. "Your nation is my nation and your G-d is my G-d."

I must admit that when a friendly non-Jew starts to quote the Bible, I get a bit nervous. It is not just the long history of anti-Semitism that has developed a genetic mutation in the noses of Jews, giving them great sensitivity to anything that smells of Christianity - but also my own personal experience with avowed lovers of Israel and the settlers who took great pains to mask their Christian motives.

As Glenn Beck is not in the process of conversion to Judaism, it is impossible to understand his quote from the Scroll of Ruth as meaning, "I am joining you." Apparently, the real meaning of his words is "I am replacing you."

A quick study of Glenn Beck's speeches before non-Israeli audiences and a simple internet search of his biography show that he is a believing Mormon who is motivated by a deep religious consciousness. In a live broadcast from the Temple Mount, Beck theatrically shows his audience how in that very place, Jesus turned over the tables of the Jewish money-changers who served the pilgrims to the Temple. He forgot to mention that with this act, that man created one of the most blatantly anti-Semitic Christian legends that lives on to this very day. (Beck's Republican listeners probably didn't understand that this was also the birth of the foundation of Communism, which views private money as the epitome of evil).

The problem is not Glenn Beck's beliefs. Beck is a good person who believes in what he is doing. The problem is that the most loyal Jewish public is giving him its support without thoroughly checking his message. They are unwittingly abetting a very gentle and heartwarming type of modern crusade. From a religious point of view, there is no difference between the Western Wall and the Southern Wall, where Beck's event is planned. They are both walls of the Mount of G-d's House. Would we allow a group of Christians to spread its message at the Western Wall?

As long as Glenn Beck and his friends support Israel from the outside, understanding that your nation is your nation and my nation is my nation; that your god is your god and my G-d is my G-d, all is well and good and it is important to cooperate with them. But when it turns out that the agenda is actually replacement theology; a theology that aims to bring waves of Christian aliyah here and to use the Jewish renaissance in Israel as a springboard to a Christian renaissance - I cannot lend it the legitimacy of Manhigut Yehudit.

Glenn Beck speaks a lot about our obligation to tell the truth, so let us do just that: The Temple Mount is the home of the Holy Temple of the Jews - exclusively. All the non-Jews who understand that are invited to come to the Temple Mount (in the area where they are permitted according to Jewish law) to pray to the Master of the Universe, the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Esau and Ishmael have their own holy places. Please honor our exclusive sovereignty over Jerusalem, including our spiritual sovereignty, just as we respect your spiritual sovereignty in your lands.

On Monday, my jacket remained in my car. And so did I.

The Jewish Family: Building Block of the Jewish Nation

After his fiascos in last week's Torah portion, Bilaam understands that his spiritual powers alone are not enough to "force" G-d to cooperate with him and curse Israel.

"And Bilaam saw that it was good in the eyes of G-d to bless Israel and he did not use sorcery as in the previous times and he turned his face to the desert." (Numbers 24:1).

Bilaam forgoes his dark-side sorcery and instead searches for Israel's weak spot. He realizes that he must sabotage the Jewish family; the building block from which the Jewish Nation is built.

Bilaam looks at the tents of Israel, convinced that in his wisdom he will find the breaches so prevalent in non-Jewish families. From those cracks that he was convinced that he would find in the families of the Children of Israel, Bilaam was sure that he would be able to destabilize the foundation of the nation and destroy it.

To his surprise, Bilaam found no such breach. As opposed to his previous attempts to curse Israel, when the Torah writes that G-d put the blessing into his mouth, this time, the blessing flows forth from Bilaam spontaneously. Bilaam was amazed; every tent was positioned so that nobody could see into the entrance of his neighbor's tent. "How lovely are your tents, Jacob, your dwellings, Israel," Bilaam blesses.

This brings us to the turn of events leading up to what is described in this week's Torah portion, Pinchas. Bilaam did not manage to curse Israel, but he did understand how a nation is built. "Let me give you some advice," says Bilaam to Balak, like a professional who did not manage to do the job correctly but whose dedication to the goal (the destruction of Israel) is greater than his professional pride.

Bilaam gives Balak a priceless tip: "The G-d of Israel hates lust," he advises. "Send your daughters to entice them, destabilize the family unit and all the rest will fall into place." This time, Bilaam actually does succeed - until Pinchas arrives on the scene, stops the plague and merits the covenant of peace.

Shabbat Shalom,

Moshe Feiglin

The Economic Case for Supporting Israel

by George Gilder (WSJ) America’s enemies understand deeply and intuitively that no U.S. goals or resources in the Middle East are remotely as important as Israel. Why don’t we?

Israel cruised through the recent global slump with scarcely a down quarter and no deficit or stimulus package. It is steadily increasing its global supremacy, behind only the U.S., in an array of leading-edge technologies. It is the global master of microchip design, network algorithms and medical instruments.

During a period of water crises around the globe, Israel is incontestably the world leader in water recycling and desalinization. During an epoch when all the world’s cities, from Seoul to New York, face a threat of terrorist rockets, Israel’s newly battle-tested “Iron Dome” provides a unique answer based on original inventions in microchips that radically reduce the weight and cost of the interceptors.

Israel is also making major advances in longer-range missile defense, robotic warfare, and unmanned aerial vehicles that can stay aloft for days. In the face of a global campaign to boycott its goods, and an ever-ascendant shekel, it raised its exports 19.9% in 2010′s fourth quarter and 27.3% in the first quarter of 2011.

Israelis supply Intel with many of its advanced microprocessors, from the Pentium and Sandbridge, to the Atom and Centrino. Israeli companies endow Cisco with new core router designs and real-time programmable network processors for its next-generation systems. They supply Apple with robust miniaturized solid state memory systems for its iPhones, iPods and iPads, and Microsoft with critical user interface designs for the OS7 product line and the Kinect gaming motion-sensor interface, the fastest rising consumer electronic product in history.

Vital to the U.S. economy and military capabilities, tiny Israel’s unparalleled achievements in industry and intellect have conjured up the familiar anti-Semitic frenzies among all the economically and morally failed societies of the socialist and Islamist Third World, from Iran to Venezuela. They all imagine that by delegitimizing, demoralizing, defeating or even destroying Israel, they could take a major step toward bringing down the entire capitalist West.

To most sophisticated Westerners, the jihadist focus on Israel seems bizarre and counterproductive. But on the centrality of Israel the jihadists have it right.

U.S. policy is crippled by a preoccupation with the claimed grievances of the Palestinians and their supposed right to a state of their own in the West Bank and Gaza. But the Palestinian land could not have supported one-tenth as many Palestinians as it does today without the heroic works of reclamation and agricultural development by Jewish settlers beginning in the 1880s, when Arabs in Palestine numbered a few hundred thousand.

Actions have consequences. When the Palestinian Liberation Organization launched two murderous Intifadas within a little over a decade, responded to withdrawals from southern Lebanon and Gaza by launching thousands of rockets on Israeli towns, spurned every sacrificial offer of “Land for Peace” from Oslo through Camp David, and reversed the huge economic gains fostered in the Palestinian territories between 1967 and 1990, the die was cast.

It’s time to move on.

For the U.S., moving on means a sober recognition that Israel is not too large but too small. It boasts a booming economy still absorbing overseas investment and a substantial net inflow of immigrants. Yet it is cramped in a space the size of New Jersey, hemmed in by enemies on three sides, with 60,000 Hezbollah and Hamas rockets at the ready, and Iran lurking with nuclear ambitions and genocidal intent over the horizon.

Clearly, Israel needs every acre it now controls. Still, despite its huge technological advances, its survival continues to rely on peremptory policing of the West Bank, on an ever-advancing shield of antimissile technology, and on the unswerving commitment of the U.S.

But this is no one-way street. At a time of acute recession, debt overhang, suicidal energy policy and venture capitalists who hope to sustain the U.S. economy and defense with Facebook pages and Twitter feeds, U.S. defense and prosperity increasingly depend on the ever-growing economic and technological power of Israel.

If we stand together we can deter or defeat any foe. Failure, however, will doom the U.S. and its allies to a long war against ascendant jihadist barbarians, with demographics and nuclear weapons on their side, and no assurance of victory. We need Israel as much as it needs us.

Death penalty against every terrorist.... Kahane

As I write these words the Israeli government is in the process of considering exchanging 400 terrorists for four American hostages, perhaps other foreigners – French, German, and other such worthies – and the fig leaf, an Israeli soldier(s) held by the terrorists and other Arab gangsters.  Whether they ultimately give in to US pressure and go through with a repeat of the 1985 obscenity when they freed 1, 150 assorted terrorist murderers, the fact remains that there would be no such problem today if Israel would have followed the Jewish decree and carried out the death penalty against every terrorist they captured.

Why do they not?  That is part of a greater problem, a diseased western mind that has gripped Israel and which includes refusal by the governments of Israel to take the obvious step – removal from the state of Arab menace, the fifth column and internal subversion.  It is a disease that causes frightened, timid, gentilized Hebrews stricken with the suicidal curse of false and perverted democracy, to hobble and destroy their own security forces and their effectiveness as the one wall of defense against the Arab flood that threatens to sweep over and drown us.

The newspaper Yediot Aharonot carried what it described as “a monologue with a high-ranking army officer” after the infamous Kahan report that ripped apart the IDF after the massacre of “Palestinians” by Christian Moslems in Beirut.  The story itself was headlined:  They Have Turned The Army Into A Punching Bag…”

The gist of the story was the bitter complaint of the army officer concerning the efforts to impose perverted “morality” on the security forces.  Let every Jew – liberal or normal read, weep, and think:

I know how many efforts we dedicated (in Lebanon) to keep from harming civilians.  I state categorically that the army had tens of casualties, if not more, only because of the order not to harm civilians.  In general, during a war, one first softens a target with artillery in order to prevent casualties among your soldiers.  Here, they forbade us lest we hit civilians.  From the time we entered Lebanon we adhered strictly to orders not to fire on targets where there was a civilian center.  We would hand out flyers, warn them by loudspeakers.  If not for that, we could have advanced more swiftly to crush the terrorist strongholds and most important, saved ourselves tens of our own casualties.”

“The terrorist knew this and they entered civilian centers.  We could do nothing because of the stubborn orders of Raful (Chief of Staff Rafael Eytan) and General Amos Yaron not to fire even when we were positive that terrorists had penetrated a certain area.  Where is the red line that determines for a command which is more important – to preserve the lives of his soldiers or to save civilians, part of whom are aiding the terrorists?  It appears to me that the Israeli commanders long since crossed this red line in favor of preserving the lives of foreign civilians even at the cost of casualties among our soldiers.”
A poignant and bitter indictment by an army commander – hobbled by civilian politicians, who in turn are the target of leftist propaganda in Israel’s sick new media that never let up for a day in their self-hating campaign to force Israel to eat of their own vomit of guilt.  They are accessories to murder; they are the direct cause of an insane, almost unbelievable policy of military madness,  that has led to the death – the murder – of tens of Jewish soldiers.

The irony is that Chief of Staff Eytan, roundly condemned by leftists as a brutal “hawk” also collapsed before the Hellenist onslaught and gave “stubborn orders” not to shell terrorist bases in civilian areas lest we, heaven forbid, cause Arab civilian casualties.  Far better that our own boys die…

Too few recall Eytan’s statement (Sept. 25, 1982) after the Sabra and Shatila massacre:  “We feel the pain of our enemies.  Our moral values arouse within us a feeling of responsibility and determination not to ignore the slaughter that happened in our midst.  There is no doubt that the tragedy has cast a shadow over our accomplishments because of the obligation that is instilled in our people for the values of human life.”

What an incredible moral position!  Had the Chief-of-Staff of the United States army made a similar statement concerning the bombing of German civilians in World War II, no doubt all ethical Jews would have cheered…

To feel the pain of our enemies, the “Palestinians”: who live and dream of the day they will destroy Israel?  From whose ranks come forth the PLO?  Who support, nurture and give of their children to terrorists who murder us?  We feel their pain?  Then we are mad.

And the arch-villain of the Kahane commission, Ariel Sharon, himself wrote the following nonsense in an Op-ed piece in the N.Y. Times (August 14, 1982):

“No army in the history of modern warfare ever took such pains to prevent civilian casualties as did the Israel Defense Forces.  Indeed, most of the losses suffered – some 350 dead and 2,000 wounded (as of the date of the article- MK) – resulted from the rule we imposed on ourselves to avoid harming non-combatants.  In Hebrew we call this tohar ha’neshek ,the moral conduct of war (literally purity of arms’ –MK) We are proud our soldiers followed this Jewish (sic!) doctrine scrupulously, despite the heavy cost we incurred in warming civilians we were coming, in attacking only predetermined PLO positions and in bombing and shelling buildings only when they served as PLO strongholds.”

What sanctimonious fraud and sacrifice of our soldiers. The murder of Israeli soldiers cried out to the heavens and justifies any soldier’s refusal to serve in an army whose commanders and leaders do not place his life over those of enemy civilians.  The life of one Jewish soldier was worth more than those of all the Arabs – soldiers, terrorists or civilians – in Lebanon and how one longs for the days of normalcy of Word War II when normal gentiles of the Untied States and British Air Forces, knowing that their own people would die unless the Germans back and morale were shattered, bombed German cities – with their civilians – mercilessly.  They knew that they were fighting a war.  A war against forces which, if they won, would plunge them and the world into a nightmare.  The gentiles never invented a madness called “purity of arms.”  Arms are not pure.  Arms are used to kill the enemy – or do not go to war in the first place.

“When you go to war against your enemies” (Deuteronomy20).  What is meant by your enemies? (After all, one does not go to war against his friends!).  Said the Holy One, Blessed be He: Go against them as enemies; just as they do not have mercy upon you, have no mercy on them.” (Midrash Tanhuma, Shoftim 15).

“…So You Shoot The Messenger”

[Eighteen years after the Rabbi spoke the warnings written in this article was the start of a severe economic crises in America. Morality is at its lowest level. Racial tensions are high. Anti-Semitism took a dangerous escalation- the Jews fear for their future.  Will they come home to Israel?]

Rabbi Meir Kahane’s last speech urging American Jews to make emergency Aliyah (excerpts of speech) November 5, 1990 – Cheshvan, 18, 5751

I was born in this country, and I can’t recall ever, in my life, as much open and vicious Jew-hatred as I have seen in our time right now, in this country.  I travel around from city to city, and in every city Jews tell me it is unbearable.  Attacks upon synagogues, attacks upon Jews, all of which are of course buried.  Because the synagogue doesn’t want it to be know.  The ADL wants to report “there were 55 incidents this year in the United States”, when actually, there were 55 incidents in one hour in the United States.  On radio programs which I am on – the telephone calls – open, open (anti-Semitism).

Two Reasons for Increased Anti-Semitism

What has happened?  What has happened in natural terms?  Of course, in divine terms, the Almighty is ending it for us.  But what is happening in natural terms?  Two basic changes have taken place in this country over the last twenty years.  It began slowly, now it is reaching its crescendo.  We have seen the death of what I call the “Auschwitz syndrome”.  What is the “Auschwitz syndrome”?  After World War II, it was hard to be an anti-Semite, even for an anti-Semite.  It was just difficult.  And then the years passed – ten years, twenty years, twenty-five years, thirty years, and a generation arose which was not born at that time.  And the “Auschwitz syndrome” began to fade away, and the guilt began to fade away.  No matter how many Holocaust programs were shown on television, every year they had less and less impact.  Indeed, they reach a point whereby they encourage anti-Semitism, whereupon the anti-Semite says: “ Hey, you know, I know Jews, and the Nazis, and they were probably right.” That’s what happens today.  It fades away.  And to help things along, there was the rise of a strong Israel. Suddenly, Israel was winning.  And that allowed the anti-Semite to cut the albatross.  Now it was OK.  You see, the Jew are Nazis, and they persecute the Palestinians, and now it was OK.  So the “Auschwitz syndrome” faded, and it’s gone for all practical purposes.  And you hear people speak about the holocaust that the Israelis are perpetrating upon the Palestinians. A Holocaust…So all the Israelis and all the Jews who ever called me a Nazi and didn’t realize that when you call a Jew a Nazi, you cheapen the Holocaust.  And you cheapen the concept of Nazi, which is a very unique thing.  And by you calling a second Jew a Nazi, what you are telling the world is” Jews can also be Nazis.  Foolish people and tiny dwarfs and pygmies, grasshoppers.

So the “Auschwitz syndrome” is gone. And another thing has happened.  After World War II, and until perhaps ten years ago, the American people lived in an economic luxury such as we have not seen ever in world history.  No Roman emperor lived as well as the average American did from World War II on, until fairly recently.  Life was good.  And when life is good, the anti-Semite hates Jews quietly.  It’s not a big deal to him.  He hates Jews, but he’s too interested in the Monday night football game.  I myself am amazed that so many people are here tonight that don’t want to see the Giants massacre the Colts…

The Economic Crises

So when times are good and he has his job, he has his beer and he has his TV set, he has everything – he hates Jews, but it’s not that important to him.  But as the economic sands of time begin to run out, and as things get bad and they get worse and suddenly there is a chill, there is a fear.  I can sense a fear in this country – people are afraid of what is going to happen, and they have every right to fear it.  This is a country which is on the verge of economic horror, horror.  In two years they expect the national debt to go from 3.7 trillion to 5 trillion dollars, so they work for months and months – this fiasco between Congress and this administration – and they say, “we are going to cut 500 million dollars in five years”.  Five years!  It is a joke – It’s a drop in the bucket.  This is a country which is dying because the thing that was saving it was the fact that the Japanese are buying Rockefeller Center, Rockefeller Plaza – don’t be angry.  If they stopped buying  it, no one is going to cover the national debt.  And they are stopping.

The dollar is a weak dollar today.  Can you imagine: The Israeli shekel has held its own against the dollar now for a year.  Don’t clap!  It doesn’t mean that the Israeli shekel is strong.  The shekel is weak; the dollar is just as weak.  The Japanese don’t want dollars anymore, they want German marks.  And they’re investing now in South Korea, Thailand, Singapore.  The banks here are shaking, they’re tottering.  In their greed, in the 1960’s and 70’s, they gave loans to anybody.  The Congo came – you want money, take the money.  Mexico came – take 100 million dollars – take, take it, take.  Suddenly, the Congo couldn’t pay back.  If that’s what a banker is…did he expect the Congo to ever pay back in total?  So hundreds of millions of bad loans are being held by major banks:  Chase Manhattan, Citicorp – and they are in deep, deep trouble today.  And on top of that, suddenly the real estate market has collapsed and they are now holding several more hundred million dollars of bad mortgages.  That’s the tragedy.  That’s why suddenly, there’s a hurry talk bout Chase merging with City.

There’s a myth that your money is insured for $100,000. If the FDIC had 60 cents for every hundred dollars that you have, I’ll swim back to Israel.  There is a myth that they are going to bail out the Savings & Loan with 40 billion dollars.  If they can make it with less than half a trillion, it will be a miracle.

So for years, the new economists said, “Don’t worry about deficits, it doesn’t matter.  Deficits don’t matter?  I know that when my bank account is in deficit, it matters to me.  The bank calls me up and says, “Rav Kahane, we have a little problem.  Would you like to come and cover it?”  A city can go a little deeper into debt than I can, and a state deeper yet, and a country can go a little deeper yet; but, in the end you have to pay the piper.  So, America has lived beyond its means – extra credit, credit cards – and give anybody credit, give kids credit cards – anybody.  Now it’s time to pay the piper, there is no money, there is no money.  And should the economic collapse come it is the Jew who will be blamed.  It is the Jew.  You can hear it already. You can small it in the air.

The Racial tension – In all Colors

I was on a radio program in Chicago.  Every single caller blamed the Gulf oil crisis on the Jews.  Every single call.  What you have now is the getting together of all these crises – the economic crisis, the racial crisis – and there is a serious racial crisis in the country.  It’s a serious one.  It is a dangerous one. Whites hate Blacks and Blacks hate Whites and they both hate Jews.  It is a terrible, terrible thing.  It’s not just Whites and Blacks.  Now in the West, it’s the Hispanics and the Anglos – tremendous crises, which only proves all the more the myth of the melting pot. Uh nechtiga tag –what melting pot? A melting pot is fine until there is a terrible crisis and then two “objects’ occupy the same job at the same time.  That’s a law of physics, which I’ve changed a bit…
So it’s not an accident that Jesse Helms is now putting on TV ads talking about the unfairness of quotas.  Quotas are unfair.  Of course, that is his trump card.  People are angry about quotas and affirmative action, etc.  And Blacks are angry.  You think that Blacks have no argument?  You think they are all bad? – that everything the Blacks do is wrong?  You think that Bob Grant is your kind of guy?  G-d forbid!  This Jew-hating fascist type.  That he says something good many, many times –you’re right.  You think that bad people don’t often say correct things?  Of course they do – but watch him, watch him and be careful of such people!  People who are anti-Black will always be anti-Jewish too.  One doesn’t have to love Farrakhan or Jesse Jackson to realize that he should be careful of racism of all kinds – White and Black – be careful, because we get stuck in the middle.  Because the Whites and Blacks hate us both.

The Pre-War Depression: Not a Criteria

We have a serious problem – the economic crisis cannot be averted. There is no way.  This country is in for terrible, terrible times.  People tell me in the depression it was also bad.  It’s true.  But first of all, who knows what would have happened in this country if World War II had not ended the depression?  If you think that Roosevelt ended it, you don’t know history.  World War II ended it.  It gave jobs finally, but more to the point, it was a different era back then.  The American people at that time were a much stronger people in character.  Today, after 40-50 years of good life and soft life, and the materialistic life, people are into themselves.  Unbelievable ego. Everything is me, me – my life, my body, my-me, my-mine.  People are incapable today of making sacrifices and that’s the great, great difference between today and what happened in the depression.  The person who is fairly poor and gets poorer – not so terrible. The person who has it and lost it becomes a wild animal, a raging animal. He’ll not accept it and will look for a scapegoat.  He’ll look for some target to blame.  We Jews are the most visible, the most highly visible in terms of power, in terms of money.  Of course, Wasps have more money than Jews have.  Certainly, Jews are not into U.S. Steel and banking and so on, and the real, real money is not Jewish money, but that doesn’t matter because Jews are in those professions that are most visible.

How to Gauge anti-Semitism: Go to a Bar

So in the bars, it sits the jealousy and the envy of the Jews which leads to hate.  The tragedy as I’ve said a million times is that the average Jewish leader in this country has no idea what people say ago about Jews in bars, because the average Jew doesn’t go into a bar – and he should; he should be compelled to go into a bar.  Every rabbi before getting “smicha”, before being ordained, should be compelled to go into a bar and find out what the real world is like. It isn’t a joke.  I’m serious.  To hide in some little ghetto, you never know what the world is.  They hate us with a passion out there, with a virulence which is frightening to see and to hear.  On every radio program I go on, I hear, “why should we give you guys three billion dollars a year”?  Anytime some fellow from the Israeli consulate is asked that question, he comes up with the answer, “well, we help you too, etc.”  Baloney!  The only way to get rid of that question is to answer as I do, “I don’t want the money!  I want Israel to be a free enterprise state and allow private enterprise to flourish and then we don’t want your money, I don’t want your charity.”  So, that of course gets rid of the question, but it doesn’t get rid of the anti-Semite.  He’ll go home mutter in his beer and pretzels. He’s still there.  He’s still there.

Role of the Prophet – To See It and say It

The rabbis tell us that G-d told Moses and Aaron.  “I’ll make you Jewish leaders on one condition that if they throw stones at you, you’ll accept it.”  Rather to be pelted with stones and not with dollars.  That’s what a Jewish leader has to be!  Say the bitter truth, even though they won’t like you.  They won’t like you; they’ll attack you, but tell the Jews the truth if you love them.  If you love Jews, tell them the things which will make them angry, but which can save their lives.  That’s what you have to do!  Think carefully about what I’m saying, and that is why we created this group called ZEERO, Zionist Emergency Evacuation Rescue Organization.  It’s a name that provokes.  And we hope that as we spread this idea it will provoke Jewish leaders to attack so we can debate the controversy that arises.  People will say he’s right; he’s wrong, and so on.  Of course, this is probably the worst thing you can ever tell any Jewish leader, any Federation leader – that he should leave here, and go to Israel.  What’ill do there? .
The rabbis say: “Who is wise?  He who sees the future”.  It’s no big deal to see “today.”  A Jewish leader has to see tomorrow.

Living in Israel – Difficult; Living Elsewhere – Impossible

It is coming here!  It is coming here!  Friday night I spoke in Brooklyn in shul, and I had to walk through Bensonhurst, a white neighborhood – nice people, because they’re white…Watching the people, the kids, you can smell the violence, you can see the hate, you can see the envy – frustrated, bored, looking for action.  You can see it.  Those are the potential mobs.  And G-d forbid, we will see it.  So ZEERO is a very serious project of Kach, and I mean a serious one.  And I know how hard it is to go to Israel – it is really hard.  Hard to make a living.  My son goes into the army every single year.  It’s dangerous and so on.  All of it is true.  Everything that’s all true.  That’s all true.  It’s hard to live in Israel, but it will be impossible to live here, and if we go to Israel, at least there we can change the country.  Of course we can change it and make it better and make it tremendous and make it safe.  Of curse we can do that if we have the power in the government, but here there is nothing you can do to change it, it’s out of our hands.  We are a minority and we are strangers here.  We’re stranger in this land, no matter how many years we’ve been here.

It’s not an accident that so few German Jews survived the camps.  The Polish Jew did better.  Why?  Because the Polish Jew wasn’t surprised.  It didn’t shock him that gentiles could behave like this.  It didn’t surprise him, so he wasn’t shattered inside, he wasn’t’ broken.  But the German Jew was psychologically shattered.  How could this be?  I’m a German. I’m a German.  How could it be?  How can you do this to me?  The Pole knew he was a Jew.  The German was broken because his whole illusion was shattered.  And that’s how the American Jew lives.  “I’m an American”.  It’s the gentile who will teach you so quickly that you’re a Jew.

It’s no just in the bars, in the working class bars the anti-Semitism that you see.  When you see the news media and their attitude towards Israel; it’s not anti-Israel – it’s anti-Semitism.  Do you know why they hate Jews?  Because among intellectuals there is a jealousy of Jews.  When Truman Capote, the famous author, a sickness, a disease who represents all that is sick about Western culture – when he spoke about the publishing business being a Jewish mafia – you can see the jealousy.  [He writes] how Jews are over represented in publishing, in broadcast, in movies, etc.  Of course it’s so – they have talent.  Untalented people don’t like to think it is because of talent.  They like to think they run it because their friends, their uncles, their aunts and so on and so forth.  The hate runs across the board.  You can see Peter Jennings’ anti-Semitism.  You can see it!  And when I hold press conferences in Israel and I see them sitting around, you can watch them all – the hatred.
